Starting on the left side measure from the inside edge of trim c blue to the top of the door sill green where you d expect the screen door and sill to meet.
How do you measure for hinged screen doors.
The hinge height required is determined by the door thickness and the door width.
Make sure to place it about 6 inches 15 cm from the opposite door jamb just in case the frame isn t true.
Place the end of the tape at the bottom inside of the door frame and pull it up to underside of the top door frame.
To get the thickness simply open the door and measure the inner edge where the lock is.
Measure the opening width horizontally as shown below.
A wider door will need more load bearing support for stability.
